Happy Monday morning everyone!

Here we go with week two of remote learning. I just want to reiterate that it is important that you are paying attention to the Blog, your email, and Google Classrooms. Each teacher has a variety of deadlines and it is important to look at all platforms to catch all of them.

For me I will be mostly updating the Google Classroom. Since we are all getting used to this new way of learning I have changed the Weekly Plan for each class. Today I want you all to practice Social Studies skills rather than learn new content.

Mr. Corey has reactivated IXL for ALL subjects, not just ELA and Math (try to contain your enthusiasm)! I am going to look into using the maps on IXL for upcoming Map Quizzes, but I will send out more information on this later this week.

TODAY I would like everyone to do all three Social Studies Skills activities on IXL (RR 1, 2, and 3). These activities can be found under the 7TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES STANDARDS. I will be counting your scores on these activities as a quiz, so if you are unhappy with your score I encourage you keep working on the activities until you get a score you are happy with.

With any leftover time you may have, make sure that all your work is turned in, not only for me but all of your teachers.

TICKET OPPORTUNITY: Email me at some point TODAY (Wednesday, 3/18) and tell me how your week is going so far and one thing that you hope to accomplish over the next two weeks besides schoolwork (go for a walk every day, watch Frozen 2 on Disney+, beat a hard level on Fortnite, etc.)

Over the course of the next few weeks there will be opportunities to earn tickets. I will be keeping track of how many tickets you earn and will hand them out when we are back in school.
