PLTW-Structure and Function Video

In our new science program, Project Lead The Way (PLTW), students learned about the design process and how engineers influence their lives. They explored the elements of structure and function by identifying products around them designed by engineers. In small groups, the students designed, built, and tested structures: beanstalks from pipe cleaners for the Jack in the Beanstalk story; straw, stick, and brick houses for the 3 Little Pigs. The students also used the design process to sketch, build, test, and reflect on a new paintbrush design.
